5 Waterfalls You Can’t Miss in Himachal Pradesh 2024

Himachal Pradesh means Dev Bhoomi!  Here, you can witness mountains, valleys and endless beauty of nature. But do you know that there are some waterfalls in Himachal that looks as beautiful as paradise.

Some waterfalls among these are located in interior parts of Himachal making it hard to reach. As a result, they remain untouched by most tourists. Today I’ll be sharing these hidden waterfalls with you all. If you like exploring waterfalls, then this article is for you 

 

1. Waterfall in Malana

This waterfall is situated just above Malana village near “Thaskar” The village is known for having some of the world’s finest cannabis. 

Malana is unlike any other village in Himachal, known for its unique culture and atmosphere. If you visit, you’ll notice that the villagers are very particular and won’t allow outsiders to touch certain places, especially temples and sacred spots, as they believe they belong to a higher caste.

This belief can sometimes make Malana feel less welcoming to outsiders, but the village is quite unique for those eager to experience something different.

The best time to visit this place would be during the summer or after monsoon, as you can enjoy refreshing bath near the waterfall. Also there are many treks in the area that you can explore. 

 

2. Tunda Bhuj Waterfall 

Next on the list is Thunda bhuj Waterfall it is situated in Parvati Valley. To get here first you need to reach kalga You can stay in Kalga overnight and next morning start your trek to Kheerganga.

After reaching Kheerganga, you need to trek for another  3-4 hours to reach Tunda bhuj. On the way you will get to see beautiful views in 360° along with water steams and lush green forest.

Once you reach there, you can see a beautiful, milky waterfall. This waterfall truly looks magical in real, you can do camping here and the best time to do this trek is during summer or after monsoon. Also carry a good pair of trekking shoes when you visit this place.

3. Sisu Waterfall 

Sisu Waterfall is a massive waterfall located in Sisu village of Lahaul, 40 km away from Manali.  The fun of seeing it is something else. If you’re into adventure and photography then you should visit this place at least once in your life.

Apart from waterfall you can explore a lot in Sissu. From here you can visit beautiful villages of Lahaul like Keylong, Udaipur explore the stunning Suraj and Deepak Tal lake. Best time to visit would be during Summer and Autumn. 

Tip – Lahaul can get chilly even in summer so pack fleece jackets, shawl and bring sunscreen for sun protection.

 

4. Parsha Waterfall 

If you’re looking for an offbeat destination near Manali Baror Parsha Waterfall is perfect to visit. The waterfall looks huge in reality  surrounded by beautiful jungle.

You will have to trek for 3-4 km to reach the waterfall. Apart from the waterfall you can explore the village chat with the locals, also visit the village temple. Parsha Village is a good spot for bird watching, you can spot different varieties of birds and enjoy peaceful environment.

Best time to visit this place would be during summer June or after the monsoon when the surroundings are green.

5. Jogni Waterfall

Jogni Falls is a famous waterfall near Vashisht village, to reach here you have to trek for 3-4 kilometers. The trek is moderate level making it easy for beginners too.   

This trek is going to be beautiful and peaceful surrounded with  forest. On the way, you’ll come across a small temple dedicated to the local goddess Jogni Mata, where you can visit and take blessings.

Jogni Falls is an amazing spot for  picnic, away from the touristy area of Manali It’s perfect to relax and you can also explore the nearby caves for bit of adventure.
